What means actually MIXED REALITY?
The term mixed reality (short form MR) belongs to the modern technologies, which connects the real world and virtual reality. It also includes virtual reality and augmented reality, expanding the natural to the artificially created world.
If the physical reality is expanded by virtual elements, one speaks of augmented reality. The result is a hybrid of reality and simulation, which distinguishes it from VR.
There are basically 2 categories of devices:
Immersive devices such as the hololens from Microsoft and so-called hologram displays that work without data glasses. New opportunities for corporate communication and product presentation arise by mixing the real and the virtual world with each other.
